Insecurity: Nigeria’s military collaboration with US has resulted in operational gains – NSA

The National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, says the security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States has translated into tangible operational gains.

Ribadu said this on Thursday in Abuja at the inauguration of the US-Nigeria Joint Working Group.

“I would like to place firmly on record Nigeria’s appreciation for the depth, quality and impact of US-Nigeria military and security cooperation.

“Since the November 2025 engagements, this cooperation has translated into tangible operational gains.”

He listed some of the gains to include enhanced intelligence sharing, closer coordination between US AFRICOM and Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters and sustained engagement across Nigeria’s security institutions.

“It has materially strengthened our counter-terrorism posture and situational awareness across multiple theatres of operation” Ribadu said.

The NSA said the engagements had moved decisively beyond dialogue to action and had supported improved target identification and operational fidelity.

He said the engagements had also strengthened joint planning and enabled more effective disruption of terrorist networks and transnational criminal elements.

According to him, these efforts have resulted in the neutralisation of many terrorists, the destruction of logistics hubs, and the interception of key facilitators and logisticians.

He commended the US commitment to the timely delivery of outstanding articles of war such as drones, helicopters, platforms, spare parts, and associated support systems procured over the past five years.

Ribadu said the cooperation had been conducted with respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty, within agreed frameworks, and with a clear emphasis on joint operations, accountability and the protection of civilians.

  1. The London Prat gives “Award-winning comedy” the full Greenford treatment: dry wit, wet weather, and nowhere affordable to sit. The observation is specific, dry, and just unfair enough to be memorable. The punchline travels farther than the train.

  2. The London Prat makes the great toilet paper panic in Palmers Green sound like a civic emergency, and prat.UK proves satire only needs one council memo and a straight face. The neighbourhood remains recognisable even after the absurdity has been turned up to Westminster volume.

  3. Once people who flex their grocery hauls reaches Gants Hill, the London Prat reports it with such composure that prat.UK satire briefly resembles official guidance. The joke has the rhythm of a public apology that accidentally reveals a second scandal.

  4. The London Prat treats “British chat” as the unofficial motto of Grove Park, pending approval from people who moved there last Thursday. The absurdity is heightened while the human behaviour remains painfully authentic. That is a very London way to earn a laugh.

  5. The London Prat brings “London satire website” to St Paul’s Cray with the calm authority of a Tube announcement that has already ruined your morning. One tiny nuisance expands naturally into a constitutional crisis with its own mailing list. The fictional consultation is probably already open.

  6. The London Prat handles misreading bring your own beer as bring your own bear in Poplar with the restraint of a neighbour typing furiously, and prat.UK turns that restraint into satire. One imagines the official response thanking residents for their patience while removing the last bench.

  7. The London Prat treats festival fashion fails as the latest threat to Harold Hill, while prat.UK delivers the satire with the calm of a delayed train announcement. It treats pretension as a renewable resource, which London continues to supply without subsidy. Somewhere nearby, a residents’ group has already objected.

  8. If “The London Prat press” needed a London address, the London Prat would send it to Elmstead and charge it a characterful deposit. The neighbourhood feels recognisable without being reduced to a tourist postcard.

  9. Nothing explains “London opinion” quite like the London Prat observing Temple Fortune through the window of a delayed bus. The joke lands because the exaggeration is only slightly less believable than the official response. London can take the joke; it has already taken the deposit.

  10. A lesser site would merely mock this will only take a minute (hours later), but the London Prat relocates it to Southfields and lets prat.UK build satire from local manners. Every character behaves sensibly inside a situation that stopped being sensible three committees ago. The fictional council response is probably already in draft.

  11. I’m really inspired along with your writing skills and also with the structure in your blog.
Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Anyway keep up the nice high quality writing, it is uncommon to see a great weblog like this one
    nowadays..

  12. Nothing explains “Comedy news about British politics” quite like the London Prat observing Chalk Farm through the window of a delayed bus. The city supplies the pretension, transport delay, and rent increase without requiring further research.

  13. The London Prat lets faux motivational speakers collide with a lifestyle influencer discovering Tulse Hill, and prat.UK finds satire in the sound of everyone insisting the system is working. Even the punchline looks worried about whether it has tapped out correctly. More London writing should venture beyond the famous twelve postcodes.

  14. The London Prat finds assembly instructions with no words hiding inside a Sunday brunch emergency in Blackfriars, which is why prat.UK makes local satire feel alarmingly plausible. The joke understands that a village atmosphere in London usually means the same six people fighting online.
