Enrol your children in schools or go to jail – Senate bill
The Senate has passed for first reading a bill that recommends a fine of N50,000 to parents who default in providing their children with primary and secondary school education.
The Red Chamber also recommended free meals for every child in the country.
The bill proposed by Senator Orji Kalu titled, ‘Compulsory free Universal Basic Education Act 2004, Section 2’ states that every government in Nigeria shall provide free, compulsory and universal basic education for every child of primary and junior secondary school age.”
The act further states that “Every parent shall ensure that his child or ward attends and completes his primary school education and junior secondary school education by endeavouring to send the child to primary and junior secondary schools.”
“The Act further states that stakeholders in education in a local government area shall ensure that every parent or person who has the care and custody of a child performs the duty imposed on him under section 2(2) of this Act.”

The act further noted that a parent who contravenes the earlier prescription should be liable, on the first conviction, to be reprimanded.
“On a second conviction, a fine of N2,000 or imprisonment for a term of one month or both; and on subsequent conviction, to a fine of N5,000 or imprisonment for a term of two months or to both.”
The Senate, however, in its amendment, proposed N50,000 fines, instead of the N5,000 previously stated in the Act.
It stated, “A person who receives or obtains any fee contrary to the provisions of subsection (1) of this section commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding N10,000 or imprisonment for a term of three months or to both.
“Every parent shall ensure that his child receives full-time education suitable to his age, ability and aptitude by regular attendance at schools.”
However, the Senate proposes, N100,000 in replacement of the N10,000.
The Senate proposed, “Section 3(2) of the Principal Act is amended by deleting N10,000 and inserting N100,000.”
Responding to this development, the Programme Coordinator for Basic Education at Reform Education, Nigeria, Ayodamola Oluwatoyin, in an interview with reporters, noted that while the move by the lawmakers seems commendable, there should be an investigation into the additional charges by the public schools across the country.

I’ve been using Rolletto for roughly six weeks or so and thought I’d throw out what I think. Came across it from a Reddit thread because I was getting bored of the same old sites. Registration was like under five minutes, pretty standard stuff, and I dropped ?20 to start — min deposit is ?20 which is fair enough.
Their sign-up offer was decent actually — it was 100% up to €500 with 200 spins thrown in. The rollover sits at x35 and that isn’t the worst compared to some places. Spins landed on Big Bass Bonanza I think. Not gonna lie, I didn’t win much from the spins but that bonus cash kept me going.
Games on Rolletto is actually massive. There’s slots from Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, and Evolution handles the live stuff. I mostly stick to Gates of Olympus and a few Megaways games from Extra Chilli. Probably a few thousand titles when you count everything. Live casino’s decent — roulette, blackjack, and I keep going back to Crazy Time which is dangerously fun. Real croupiers streaming, stream is sharp on my laptop.
Cashing out is what I really wanted to test and actually can’t moan. I withdraw to Skrill mostly and it took roughly a day. There’s also crypto like BTC and a bunch of e-wallets if that’s your thing. You can have a look at their bonus page over at Rolletto to see for yourself. One gripe though — KYC took nearly a week to clear which felt slow.
Using it on mobile, Rolletto works well through the browser — no app needed but the mobile site is smooth. Everything loads quick enough and had a few goes on my commute without issues. Support is live chat 24/7 and response time was under a minute when I had a bonus question. They’re Curacao licensed — no UK licence so some people might care about that.
Look, it’s not flawless — that slow verification plus navigation could be busy. But the games are class, I’ve had no payout dramas, and the matched deposit gave me good value. Might not suit everyone but I’m keeping Rolletto going forward.

So I’ve been playing at Rolletto for about six weeks or so and thought I’d throw out what I think. Came across it through a mate after I got fed up with the same old sites. Signed up took maybe two minutes, pretty standard stuff, and I deposited ?20 to start — min deposit is ?20 which isn’t bad.
Their sign-up offer caught my eye — I got a match of a hundred percent up to €500 with 200 free spins. Wagering’s at 35 times which isn’t the worst for this kind of offer. Free spins were on Sweet Bonanza I think. Tbh, spins were a bit dead but that bonus cash gave me a solid session.
Game selection at Rolletto is actually massive. You’ll find stuff from Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, and Evolution handles the live stuff. I’ve been hammering Gates of Olympus and a few Megaways games from Extra Chilli. Looks like there’s over 3000 games across the whole site. Live casino’s worth mentioning — the usual tables, plus I’ve wasted hours on Crazy Time and it’s a proper time sink. All Evolution-run, quality’s sharp on my laptop.
Withdrawals are the bit I was most worried about but honestly no complaints. I’ve used Skrill mostly and it took roughly a day. They also do Mastercard plus various e-wallets for flexibility. You can have a look at their bonus page over at rolletto casino if you’re curious. The thing that bugs me — KYC took ages to approve and that was frustrating.
Mobile-wise, Rolletto runs fine in the browser — no app needed which I actually prefer. Pages load fast and I’ve played on my commute no problems. Support is always on via live chat and response time was like thirty seconds when I asked about my withdrawal. The site is Curacao licensed — worth noting it’s not UK-regulated and some people might care about that.
Honestly, there are niggles — that slow verification and the layout feels slightly cleaner. But the games are class, payouts have been reliable for me, and the bonus gave me good value. Might not suit everyone but I’ll be sticking with Rolletto for now.
