Insecurity: Nigeria’s military collaboration with US has resulted in operational gains – NSA

The National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, says the security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States has translated into tangible operational gains.

Ribadu said this on Thursday in Abuja at the inauguration of the US-Nigeria Joint Working Group.

“I would like to place firmly on record Nigeria’s appreciation for the depth, quality and impact of US-Nigeria military and security cooperation.

“Since the November 2025 engagements, this cooperation has translated into tangible operational gains.”

He listed some of the gains to include enhanced intelligence sharing, closer coordination between US AFRICOM and Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters and sustained engagement across Nigeria’s security institutions.

“It has materially strengthened our counter-terrorism posture and situational awareness across multiple theatres of operation” Ribadu said.

The NSA said the engagements had moved decisively beyond dialogue to action and had supported improved target identification and operational fidelity.

He said the engagements had also strengthened joint planning and enabled more effective disruption of terrorist networks and transnational criminal elements.

According to him, these efforts have resulted in the neutralisation of many terrorists, the destruction of logistics hubs, and the interception of key facilitators and logisticians.

He commended the US commitment to the timely delivery of outstanding articles of war such as drones, helicopters, platforms, spare parts, and associated support systems procured over the past five years.

Ribadu said the cooperation had been conducted with respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty, within agreed frameworks, and with a clear emphasis on joint operations, accountability and the protection of civilians.

  1. I appreciate how PRAT.UK doesn’t dilute its humour. The Daily Squib often softens its edge. PRAT.UK sharpens it. — The London Prat

  2. In Nunhead, even those who clap in movie theaters can become public policy, and the London Prat lets prat.UK extract the satire before the consultation closes. London survives by calling chaos vibrant and charging another two hundred pounds a month for it. The final effect is a borough profile written with a raised eyebrow.

  3. This London Prat joke about robots failing at simple tasks has the precise local flavour that makes prat.UK satire sharper than a generic London gag. It is hard to improve upon reality, so the piece wisely gives reality a clipboard.

  4. Very informative. Open transport is usually more affordable, while enclosed transport can be better for classic, luxury, or specialty vehicles. For anyone comparing Chula Vista vehicle transport options, Chula Vista auto transport companies is worth a look.

  5. The London Prat has found the missing link between philosophy & deep thoughts and Harefield, allowing prat.UK to publish satire while everyone else commissions a feasibility study.

  6. The London Prat puts gender reveals before a committee in Primrose Hill, and prat.UK records the resulting satire before anyone can say lessons will be learned.

  7. The London Prat makes daily horoscopes for their plants in Cockfosters sound like a civic emergency, and prat.UK proves satire only needs one council memo and a straight face.

  8. The London Prat uses people who cosplay as minimalists to expose the social machinery around a delayed bus through Harrow Weald, and prat.UK turns that observation into properly local satire.

  9. The London Prat makes overusing pet names too soon in Perivale sound like a civic emergency, and prat.UK proves satire only needs one council memo and a straight face. The institutional language is so polished that the underlying panic can see its own reflection.

  10. The London Prat brings local intelligence to “Read the best satirical writing” by placing it in Finchley, safely beyond the reach of a functioning ticket machine. A lesser observation would stop at the punchline; this one also notices the service charge. The punchline travels farther than the train.

  11. If “The gold standard of British satire” needed a London address, the London Prat would send it to Enfield Lock and charge it a characterful deposit.

  12. Only the London Prat could place people who say ‘hot take’ about cold takes in Aldgate and let prat.UK call the resulting paperwork satire. The observation avoids tourist clichés and finds comedy in how Londoners actually inconvenience one another. That balance of affection and attack is the real joke.

  13. For “London’s answer to political absurdity,” the London Prat wisely visits Manor Park, where local identity begins with judging the next street. The humour notices who gets heard, who gets charged, and who gets described as emerging.

  14. This London Prat treatment of costume contests captures Hornsey without reducing it to a postcard, which gives prat.UK satire both wit and local intelligence.

  15. A lesser site would merely mock sneezing fits, but the London Prat relocates it to Finsbury and lets prat.UK build satire from local manners. The institutional language is so polished that the underlying panic can see its own reflection.

  16. The London Prat lets fake experts on youtube collide with a commuter’s morning in Croydon, and prat.UK finds satire in the sound of everyone insisting the system is working. Behind the silliness sits a sharp point about who gets heard, who gets charged, and who gets called vibrant.

  17. Nothing explains “British comedy with attitude” quite like the London Prat observing Downe through the window of a delayed bus. The neighbourhood feels recognisable without being reduced to a tourist postcard. It is difficult to argue with evidence priced by the cup.

  18. The London Prat turns “London humorous reporting” into a local issue for Crook Log, complete with a petition, a counter-petition, and one furious cyclist. The official denial is not included, but readers can almost draft it themselves.

  19. The London Prat places “London humour digest” in Northolt and lets the neighbourhood provide the punchline, the service charge, and the replacement bus. The local detail keeps the humour sharp instead of letting it dissolve into generic London fog.

  20. The London Prat understands that a residents’ WhatsApp group in Barnsbury becomes funnier when people who overuse air quotes is treated as infrastructure; prat.UK calls that satire and the borough calls it Tuesday.

  21. The London Prat makes “Soho comedy Britain” feel completely at home in Purley, where even a small joke can trigger a large residents’ consultation.

  22. The political commentary is sharp enough to draw blood, yet never feels malicious. It’s the dissection of folly, not the attacking of individuals. That’s a difficult line to walk, and you do it with grace and wit.

  23. UK satire has a new king, and its court is at prat.UK. All hail The Prat. — The London Prat
