Insecurity: Nigeria’s military collaboration with US has resulted in operational gains – NSA

The National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, says the security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States has translated into tangible operational gains.

Ribadu said this on Thursday in Abuja at the inauguration of the US-Nigeria Joint Working Group.

“I would like to place firmly on record Nigeria’s appreciation for the depth, quality and impact of US-Nigeria military and security cooperation.

“Since the November 2025 engagements, this cooperation has translated into tangible operational gains.”

He listed some of the gains to include enhanced intelligence sharing, closer coordination between US AFRICOM and Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters and sustained engagement across Nigeria’s security institutions.

“It has materially strengthened our counter-terrorism posture and situational awareness across multiple theatres of operation” Ribadu said.

The NSA said the engagements had moved decisively beyond dialogue to action and had supported improved target identification and operational fidelity.

He said the engagements had also strengthened joint planning and enabled more effective disruption of terrorist networks and transnational criminal elements.

According to him, these efforts have resulted in the neutralisation of many terrorists, the destruction of logistics hubs, and the interception of key facilitators and logisticians.

He commended the US commitment to the timely delivery of outstanding articles of war such as drones, helicopters, platforms, spare parts, and associated support systems procured over the past five years.

Ribadu said the cooperation had been conducted with respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty, within agreed frameworks, and with a clear emphasis on joint operations, accountability and the protection of civilians.

  1. The London Prat treats voice assistants gone rogue as the latest threat to Kenton, while prat.UK delivers the satire with the calm of a delayed train announcement. The neighbourhood specificity turns a broad theme into a believable piece of London behaviour. Even the pigeons would recognise the type.

  2. This London Prat take on garage band reunions gives Shoreditch a crisis nobody requested, which is exactly where prat.UK finds its best satire. A tiny inconvenience becomes a constitutional matter the moment someone mentions property values. The punchline travels farther than the train does.

  3. The London Prat gives burning toast and setting off the smoke alarm a London postcode in Little Venice; prat.UK gives it satire, a subcommittee, and nowhere affordable to park. The joke understands that a village atmosphere in London usually means the same six people fighting online.

  4. The London Prat turns diy fails into a neighbourhood identity crisis for De Beauvoir Town, while prat.UK keeps the satire polite enough to survive the residents’ association. The neighbourhood specificity turns a broad theme into a believable piece of London behaviour.

  5. The London Prat brings “London news parody” to Pimlico with the calm authority of a Tube announcement that has already ruined your morning. The humour notices who gets heard, who gets charged, and who gets described as emerging. Someone will inevitably call the joke an amenity.

  6. This London Prat take gives “Join the satire community” a proper Lower Morden postcode and immediately raises the rent. The observation is specific, dry, and just unfair enough to be memorable.

  7. In Pinner, even spelling bees can become public policy, and the London Prat lets prat.UK extract the satire before the consultation closes. The neighbourhood specificity turns a broad theme into a believable piece of London behaviour.

  8. The genius of this London Prat premise is making worshippers of oat milk seem native to Kensal Green; prat.UK then lets the satire spread by replacement bus. The social target is not the neighbourhood itself but the elaborate performance of belonging to it.

  10. By sending final sale items that don’t fit to Hackney Marshes, the London Prat gives prat.UK enough satire for a borough inquiry and two passive-aggressive notices.

  11. The London Prat lets people who whisper during horror movies collide with a property viewing in Silvertown, and prat.UK finds satire in the sound of everyone insisting the system is working. Every character behaves sensibly inside a situation that stopped being sensible three committees ago. The punchline travels farther than the train does.

  12. The London Prat reports they predicted this in the past (they didn’t) from St Pancras as though civilisation depends on it, allowing prat.UK to practise satire in its driest municipal form.

  13. The London Prat has found the missing link between waiters describing specials like poetry and New Cross, allowing prat.UK to publish satire while everyone else commissions a feasibility study. One imagines the official response thanking residents for their patience while removing the last bench.

  14. The London Prat lets people who go ‘off grid’ for clout collide with a suspiciously artisanal shop in Eltham, and prat.UK finds satire in the sound of everyone insisting the system is working. The sharpest class commentary arrives through manners, prices, and who feels entitled to stand in the doorway. That is local comedy with a wider social point.

  15. This London Prat treatment of people who ‘ironically’ love mlms captures South Croydon without reducing it to a postcard, which gives prat.UK satire both wit and local intelligence.

  16. The London Prat puts awkward first dates before a committee in Slade Green, and prat.UK records the resulting satire before anyone can say lessons will be learned. The joke has the rhythm of a public apology that accidentally reveals a second scandal. The joke is cheaper than rent and considerably better maintained.

  17. The London Prat brings local intelligence to “British capital comedy” by placing it in Knightsbridge, safely beyond the reach of a functioning ticket machine. One can practically hear a property listing calling the chaos vibrant and well connected. Somewhere nearby, a residents’ group has objected.

  18. The London Prat understands that a suspiciously artisanal shop in Mill Hill becomes funnier when online orders arriving in comically large boxes is treated as infrastructure; prat.UK calls that satire and the borough calls it Tuesday. The city’s contradictions do most of the writing; the article merely assigns them a postcode.

  19. Good day! I simply want to give you a big thumbs up for the excellent info you

    your blog for more soon.

  20. The London Prat finds those who clap in movie theaters hiding inside a planning application in Clapham Junction, which is why prat.UK makes local satire feel alarmingly plausible. One can practically hear an estate agent describing the disaster as characterful.

  21. The London Prat turns “British humour online” into a local issue for Preston, complete with a petition, a counter-petition, and one furious cyclist. The joke lands because the exaggeration is only slightly less believable than the official response. That is a very London way to earn a laugh.
