Prince Onwa Nwafor-Orizu, Anambra-South Senatorial aspirant, has extended his sympathy to the victims of Nkwo Nnewi fire disaster.
The son of the first Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Akweke Nwafor Orizu, Prince Onwa Nwafor Orizu, in a statement deeply console with the victims of the unfortunate fire disaster that engulfed the market in Nnewi.
Goods worth millions of naira were destroyed in a midnight fire outbreak, situated opposite the New Motor Spare Parts Market in Nnewi, Anambra State.

The inferno, which began in the early hours of Tuesday, left several shops in ruins, with goods and properties reduced to ashes.
The tragic incident plunged the affected business owners into agony and despair.
According to him, “It is a devastating news considering the times we are in the country economically.
“I sincerely reach out to the victims who lost completely their source of income and survival.
“It’s most unfortunate that there was no immediate intervention to quench the inferno bearing in mind the importance and sensitivity of the area concerned.
The Anambra State Fire Service confirmed the incident in a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Unit, led by the state fire chief, Chukwudi Chiketa.
“It’s high time the authorities take the welfare of taxpayers seriously by being proactive and responsive as at when due to avoid this kind of disaster”.
Prince Onwa Nwafor-Orizu urged authorities to put measures in place to curb future fire disaster.
