As different groups in Anambra state continue to drum support for Governor Charles Soludo’s re-election, the chairman of Cubana Group, Obinna Tochukwu Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has thrown his weight behind the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
This comes after Soludo was unanimously re-elected as APGA’s candidate for the November 2025 election. Over the weekend, the entire political architecture of Anambra state in the 21 local government areas in Anambra state all supported the governor for his second term bid.
Speaking after a recent visit a tour of some projects in the state, Cubana stated that for the first time in Anambra state, there may not be a contest as the governorship election will be a landslide victory for Soludo.
Obi Cubana, a celebrated entrepreneur and philanthropist indigent of Anambra state, said Governor Soludo faces no opposition in his re-election in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in November, 2025.
The entrepreneur said the election would be a walkover for Soludo “due to his performance in governance and the infrastructural transformation of Anambra state within a short period.
“The governor promised us a new Anambra. He is not talking about what has been done, but what has not been done, which means he is hungry to do more for the people of the state. He is hungry to position Anambra as the pride of Nigeria, in fact, West Africa and Africa.
“The journey of a thousand miles starts from a step, and he is touching everything. The one that amazes me is that he is creating a Fun City, and that means he thinks about our kids and families,” he said.
