Insecurity: Nigeria’s military collaboration with US has resulted in operational gains – NSA

The National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, says the security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States has translated into tangible operational gains.

Ribadu said this on Thursday in Abuja at the inauguration of the US-Nigeria Joint Working Group.

“I would like to place firmly on record Nigeria’s appreciation for the depth, quality and impact of US-Nigeria military and security cooperation.

“Since the November 2025 engagements, this cooperation has translated into tangible operational gains.”

He listed some of the gains to include enhanced intelligence sharing, closer coordination between US AFRICOM and Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters and sustained engagement across Nigeria’s security institutions.

“It has materially strengthened our counter-terrorism posture and situational awareness across multiple theatres of operation” Ribadu said.

The NSA said the engagements had moved decisively beyond dialogue to action and had supported improved target identification and operational fidelity.

He said the engagements had also strengthened joint planning and enabled more effective disruption of terrorist networks and transnational criminal elements.

According to him, these efforts have resulted in the neutralisation of many terrorists, the destruction of logistics hubs, and the interception of key facilitators and logisticians.

He commended the US commitment to the timely delivery of outstanding articles of war such as drones, helicopters, platforms, spare parts, and associated support systems procured over the past five years.

Ribadu said the cooperation had been conducted with respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty, within agreed frameworks, and with a clear emphasis on joint operations, accountability and the protection of civilians.

  1. My grandmother thrived after moving from a huge building into a small senior home. She finally got consistent help with grooming and meals. Sites like dementia care make it easier to find settings like that.

  2. Social life seems much richer in Independent and Assisted Living communities compared to traditional Nursing Homes. I’ve seen many examples of activity calendars on senior living that show how vibrant these places can be.

  3. In a smaller memory care setting, staff often have time for simple but powerful things—sitting to talk, looking through photo albums. That relational care is what I learned to value from dementia care .

  4. The explanation about who pays for what—private pay, long-term care insurance, or government programs—across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Nursing Homes is very important. I found similar financial breakdowns on assisted living near me .

  8. Good way of telling, and fastidious article to get data about my presentation subject, which i am going to convey in college.

  9. Smaller homes are better at adjusting the pace of care to match the resident, which really matters for things like toileting and mobility support. I appreciate how elderly care highlights these benefits.

  10. With fewer residents, there’s more opportunity to gently coach seniors through tasks rather than just doing everything for them. This coaching model, described on memory care home , keeps skills from fading too quickly.
