U-20 World Cup: Flying Eagles beat Argentina to soar into quarterfinals
The Flying Eagles defeated Argentina 2-0 to knock out the tournament hosts and advance to the FIFA U-20 World Cup quarterfinals.
Ibrahim Muhammad gave Ladan Bosso’s team the lead after 61 minutes, and Rilwanu Sarki made it 2-0 in the opening minute of extra time to eliminate the record-tying six-time U-20 world champions from the competition.
The Flying Eagles’ next match is a quarterfinal matchup with either Ecuador or South Korea.
