Community deserted as cultists kill 19 residents in Rivers State

No fewer than 19 people were feared killed in a renewed cult clash in Obelle Community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday.

The development has sparked panic in the area as residents have deserted the community for safety.

It would be recalled that on Wednesday, unidentified gunmen believed to be members of a cult group invaded the community and killed seven people.

While the community was still reeling in the pain of the incident, on Sunday morning, the two cult groups in the area resumed their battle for supremacy after over two years of vacation.

It was gathered that the supremacy battle on Sunday was between the Deybam and Icelanders cult groups.

Our correspondent learnt that after the Wednesday killing, the group whose members were killed on Sunday invaded Obelle community and started attacking relatives of those perceived to be part of the cult group that earlier killed seven people.

A source in the area, who gave his name simply as Kingsley, alleged that it was while the group who lost their members on Wednesday was operating that the rivals arrived.

Kingsley said, “On Sunday, cultists clashed in our community. Many people have been killed. Innocent people were killed. The shooting was too much and the people started leaving the community. About 19 people have been killed.

“On Sunday morning, some cultists came out and started shooting. They were attacking relatives of the people they said were members of the gang that killed their members. It did not take time, the other group came out. They started shooting themselves. People from the two groups also died.

“We are calling on the government to come to our aid. These cults are trying to scatter the people we have in this community. We want the police and army to help us.”

When contacted, the spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, saying the clash was linked to levies from an oil company in the area, saying the number of casualty was 10.

She stated, “It is a cult clash between loyalists of Naked Wire and Carol. They are fighting over the control of levies from an oil company operative in the area.

“About 10 confirmed dead. No arrest yet, but investigation is ongoing.”

  1. Skipped the comments section but might come back to read it, and a stop at saltandsatin hinted at a quality reader community, sites where the comments are worth reading separately from the post are increasingly rare and signal a particular kind of audience that has grown around the editorial vision over time gradually.

  2. Looking at this from the perspective of someone tired of generic content the contrast is striking, and a look at blog66institution maintained that distinctive feel, sites with strong editorial identity stand out against the bland background of algorithmic content and this one has clearly developed an identity worth recognising through careful attention.

  3. Now thinking about how this post will age over the coming years, and a stop at softreap suggested the same durability, content built to age well rather than to capture the attention of the moment is content with a different kind of value and this site has clearly chosen the long horizon over the short one.

  4. Comfortable in tone and substantive in content, that is a hard combination to land, and a look at saverstreet kept that pairing alive across more material, this is what good editorial direction looks like in practice and the team here clearly has someone keeping a steady hand on the wheel across what they decide to publish.

  5. Decided to subscribe to the RSS feed if there is one, and a stop at authorityanvil confirmed that decision, content that I want delivered to me proactively rather than just remembered when I have time is content that has earned a higher level of commitment from me as a reader looking for reliable sources.

  6. Generally my comment to other readers about new sites is to wait and see but for this one I would jump to recommend now, and a look at liftinglair reinforced that early recommendation, the speed at which a site earns my recommendation is itself a quality signal and this one has earned mine quickly clearly.

  7. Bookmark earned and shared the link with one specific person who would care, and a look at toasttrek got the same targeted share, sharing carefully rather than broadcasting is a discipline I try to maintain and this site is generating shares from me at a sustainable rate rather than the spam rate of viral content.

  8. Once you find a site like this the search for similar voices begins, and a look at techthimble extended the search energy, finding a high quality reference point makes the gap between it and adjacent sources visible in a way it was not before and this site has provided that high reference point across multiple recent visits.

  9. Refreshing change from the usual sites covering this topic, no clickbait and no padding, and a stop at mealprepmanor confirmed the difference, this place clearly has its own voice rather than copying the formulas everyone else uses to chase clicks online which is becoming increasingly rare these days across nearly every popular subject.

  10. Found something new in here that I had not seen explained this way before, and a quick stop at xobasket expanded the idea even further, the kind of writing that nudges your thinking forward a bit without forcing the issue is exactly what I look for online today and rarely actually find anywhere.

  11. Refreshing to find writing that does not try to manipulate the reader into clicking onto the next page through cliffhangers and forced engagement, and a stop at flarion continued in the same respectful way, this is what reader first design actually looks like in practice rather than just in marketing copy that sounds nice.

  12. Once you start reading carefully here it is hard to go back to lower quality alternatives, and a stop at blog44view reinforced that ratchet effect, the way good content raises standards is real over time and this site has clearly contributed to raising my expectations for what is possible in writing on the topic generally.

  13. Worth marking this site as one to come back to deliberately rather than by accident, and a stop at wifiwharf reinforced that intention, the difference between sites I find again by chance and sites I return to on purpose is meaningful and this one has clearly moved into the deliberate return category for me.

  14. Top quality material, deserves more attention than it probably gets, and a look at opencartopia reflected the same effort across the site, a hidden gem in the modern web where most attention goes to whoever shouts loudest rather than whoever actually delivers the best content for their readers without much marketing fanfare.

  15. Took something from this I did not expect to find, and a stop at reportraven added another unexpected useful piece, content that exceeds expectations rather than just meeting them is the kind that builds enthusiasm and earns repeat visits without any explicit ask from the writer or platform behind the work being read.

  16. A piece that reads like it was written for me without claiming to be written for me, and a look at designdrift produced the same fit, when the writer audience match clicks naturally without being engineered through demographic targeting you know the writing is solid and this site has that natural fit consistently for me.

  17. Now thinking I want more sites built on this kind of editorial foundation, and a stop at networknectar extended that wish into a broader hope, sites built on substance and care rather than on metrics and growth are the kind of sites I want to see more of and this one is a small example worth supporting.

  18. A piece that built up gradually rather than front loading its main points, and a look at upcarton maintained the same gradual structure, content that trusts the reader to reach conclusions through accumulating reasoning is more persuasive than content that announces conclusions and then defends them and this site uses the persuasive approach.

  19. A piece that was confident enough to leave some questions open rather than forcing closure, and a look at dieseldock continued that intellectual honesty, content that admits the limits of its scope is more trustworthy than content that pretends to total understanding and this site has the right calibration on certainty consistently.

  20. Found the use of subheadings really helpful for scanning back through the post later, and a stop at vaultvalue kept that reader friendly approach going, navigation is something many blog writers ignore but small structural choices make a noticeable difference for someone returning to find a specific point again days or weeks later.

  21. Quality writing that respects the reader’s intelligence without overloading them, and a quick look at jacketjunction reflected that approach, a balanced thoughtful site that earns trust by being consistent rather than by shouting about how trustworthy it is which is the usual approach online sadly across most content categories.

  22. Felt the writer respected me as a reader without making a show of doing so, and a look at mintandmason continued that quiet respect, this is the kind of small but meaningful detail that separates the sites I bookmark from the ones I close after a single skim and never return to again no matter how interesting the headline.

  23. Nice blog here! Also your site loads up fast! What web host are you using? Can I get your affiliate link to your host? I wish my website loaded up as fast as yours lol

  24. A thoughtful read in a week that has been mostly noisy, and a look at devplain carried that thoughtful quality across more pages, finding pockets of considered writing in a week of distractions is one of the small wins of careful curation and this site is providing those pockets at a sustainable rate.

  25. Will be back, that is the simplest way to say it, and a quick visit to captainscloset reinforced the decision, this site has earned a spot in my regular rotation alongside a few other reliable places I check when I want something genuinely informative without all the usual modern web noise getting in the way.

Been signed up at Single Bet Calculator for the best part of a year, usually on the train home, so take this for what it’s worth. Stumbled on it off another forum thread, nobody paid me.

The game selection is bigger than I expected — roughly 4,000 titles if the counter is honest. Play’n GO takes up most of the space, so Book of Dead and the rest of the greatest hits are all there. Personally I mainly play Play’n GO titles because the volatility suits me. Small annoyance — the search function on Single Bet Calculator is a bit rubbish, you often have to scroll.

Live section is Evolution-run, so you know what you’re getting. Proper human dealers, decent stream quality, and Crazy Time and Lightning Roulette pulls a big crowd most evenings. Worth saying the British tables are properly staffed in the evenings. If you want to compare the current terms have a look at Single Bet Calculator rather than taking my word for it.

Welcome offer from Single Bet Calculator came as a 100% match to ?150 with 50 spins. Rollover is 30x which is about par these days. I also got a ?5 no deposit token when I registered. ?10 minimum, same as everywhere, registration was quick, verification took about 24 hours.

Withdrawals are decent. Card payments take 2-3 days, Skrill and Neteller were same-day for me, and Bitcoin is quickest if you use it. Cashed out ?340 last week and it landed early. The live chat on Single Bet Calculator was on me within five minutes — copy-paste at first but fine after. They’re UKGC licensed, which matters more than the bonus size. No standalone app, the browser version does the job.

  27. Top notch writing, every paragraph carries weight and nothing feels like filler, and a stop at aussiealley reflected that same care, a rare thing on the open web these days where most pages exist for clicks rather than actual reader value or anything close to that which is honestly a real shame.

  28. Now thinking I want more sites built on this kind of editorial foundation, and a stop at couriercorner extended that wish into a broader hope, sites built on substance and care rather than on metrics and growth are the kind of sites I want to see more of and this one is a small example worth supporting.

  29. Reading this gave me a small framework I expect to use going forward, and a stop at dervina extended that framework, content that produces transferable mental models rather than just specific facts is content with multiplicative value and this site is providing those models at a rate that justifies extra attention from me regularly.

  30. Skipped breakfast still reading this and finished hungry but satisfied, and a stop at crawlclarity kept me past breakfast time, content that displaces basic biological needs is content with serious attentional pull and the writers here are clearly capable of producing that level of engagement which is genuinely impressive these days.

  31. A genuine pleasure to find a site that publishes at a sustainable cadence rather than chasing the daily content treadmill, and a look at orderopt confirmed the careful publication rhythm, sites that prioritise quality over frequency are rare and this one has clearly chosen the slower pace which I appreciate as a reader.

  32. Liked how the writer used real examples instead of theoretical ones to make the points stick, and a stop at coralcart added even more concrete examples, this is the kind of practical approach that respects readers who actually want to apply what they learn rather than just nodding along passively without doing anything useful.

  33. Polished and informative without feeling overproduced, that is the sweet spot, and a look at sampleatelier hit it again, you can tell when a site has been built with care versus thrown together for the sake of having something to put online and this is clearly the former approach taken by the team.

  34. Now feeling confident enough in this site to use it as a reference point for evaluating others on the same topic, and a look at softregal continued the comparison friendly quality, sites that serve as quality benchmarks for their topic are precious and this one has clearly become a benchmark for me on this particular subject area.

  35. Felt like the post had been edited rather than just drafted and published, and a stop at facelessfactory suggested the same care across the site, the difference between edited and unedited content is enormous for the reader and this site has clearly invested in the editing pass that most blogs skip entirely which really does show up.

  37. Coming to this with low expectations and being pleasantly surprised by the substance, and a stop at lotusloft continued exceeding expectations, the recalibration of expectations upward across multiple positive readings is one of the actual rewards of careful browsing and this site is providing that recalibration at a steady rate apparently.

  38. Quietly impressive in a way that does not announce itself, and a stop at dlinkden extended that quiet impressiveness, the kind of quality that emerges through sustained attention rather than first impressions is the kind I trust more deeply and this site has been earning that deeper trust across multiple sessions over time consistently.

I’ve been on Single Bet Calculator since around February, usually on the train home, so take this for what it’s worth. Came across it through a mate, nobody paid me.

The game selection is bigger than I expected — somewhere north of 3,000 slots last time I counted. Play’n GO takes up most of the space, so Gates of Olympus and the usual suspects all show up. I mostly stick to Yggdrasil stuff out of pure habit. The one thing that irks me — the search function on Single Bet Calculator is a bit rubbish, filters half work.

Live tables are powered by Evolution, no complaints there. Proper human dealers, no lag issues on my broadband, and the game shows like Crazy Time pulls a big crowd most evenings. Worth saying the UK side is well covered from about 6pm onwards. Before you deposit anything I’d have a nose over on single calculator instead of trusting a random forum post.

Bonus-wise from Single Bet Calculator came as 100% up to ?200 plus 100 free spins. Wagering is 35x which is about par these days. There was a small no deposit thing when I registered. Minimum is a tenner, the form was short enough, KYC took a day.

Cashouts have been fine. Visa and Mastercard are the slow ones, Skrill and Neteller hit in a few hours, and Bitcoin clears fastest. Took out about ?250 recently and it landed early. Single Bet Calculator’s support answered in about four minutes — copy-paste at first but fine after. Licence is UKGC, which is the bit I actually check. There’s no app on the Play Store, which is mildly annoying but the site works fine.

  40. Most attempts at writing on this topic feel like they are missing something and this post finally identified what was missing, and a look at elmemporium extended that diagnostic clarity, content that names what is wrong with adjacent treatments while doing better itself is content with both critical and constructive value and this site has both.

  41. Learned something from this without having to dig through layers of fluff, and a stop at screenprintshop added a bit more context that helped tie things together for me, definitely a useful corner of the internet for anyone who wants real information without the usual marketing nonsense around it that often ruins similar pages.

  42. Loved the writing voice here, friendly without being fake and confident without being arrogant, and a stop at wordwarehouse carried the same tone forward, the kind of personality that makes a reader feel welcome rather than lectured at which is a balance plenty of writers struggle to find no matter how long they have been at it.

  43. Definitely a recommend from me, anyone curious about the topic should check this out, and a look at everaisle adds even more reason for that, the depth and quality combine to make this site one I will be pointing people toward whenever similar conversations come up over the months ahead at work or socially.
