Bandits kill scores in Sokoto over refusal to pay levies

Over fifty persons were reportedly killed in two local governments areas of Sokoto State after gruesome attacks by bandits on Saturday evening.

The affected local governments area includes Gwadabawa and Tangaza local government areas of the state.

Sokoto Police Command PPRO, ASP Ahmad Rufa’i, who later confirmed the attacks on Sunday, assured that the command is on top of the situation and promised to give update on the attacks.

Hours after the attack on three communities in Tangaza local government area of Sokoto state, corpses of 37 persons were yet to be buried.

The communities attacked on Saturday evening are Raka, Raka Dutse, and Filin Gawa in Tangaza local government area.

The immediate past local government chairman of Tangazaa, Bshar Kalenjeni also confirmed the attacks saying 18 persons were killed at Raka, 17 at Filin Gawa and two at Raka Dutse.

In his narration, Kalenjeni said, “the bandits sometimes impose levies on the communities to be paid within a stipulated time and also want to be dictating to the residents on what to do.

“The offence of the villagers was their refusal to pay the levies imposed on their communities and succumb to the bandits threat.

“Angered by the villagers bold face, the bandits struck Saturday evening, killing 37 persons while several others with various degrees of gunshot injuries are currently receiving treatment at General Hospital, Gwadabawa.

“We wanted to bury those killed in the night but the bandits came back and dispersed us. As at this morning, the deceased are still there, yet to be buried.

“As this moment I am talking to you, we are waiting for security operatives to lead us to the villages in order to bury the dead ones and comb the surrounding areas in search of those missing.”

Speaking with our correspondent, a source in Gwadabawa local government, said, “some of the bandits were already in the town unknown to residents of the affected communities before others arrived in the evening to strike.

“The operation started after evening prayer where they attacked the two most populous villages of Sakamaru and Bilingawa, simultaneously.

“In Bilingawa, not less than 18 people were killed with Sakamaru being the worst, where scores of people were slaughtered and others killed in gunshot.

“After killing them, they set their corpses and that of their animals on fire by ensuring that most of them were burnt beyond recognition” he said.

  1. Just want to acknowledge that the writing here is doing something right, and a quick visit to auroracoveartisanhouse confirmed the same standards run across the broader site, recognising good work is something I try to do when I find it because the alternative is silence and silence rewards mediocrity.

  2. Reading this gave me material for a conversation I needed to have anyway, and a stop at acornharborvault added even more talking points, content that connects to upcoming social or professional needs rather than just being interesting in the abstract is the kind that earns priority placement in my attention these days routinely.

  3. Honest take is that this was better than I expected when I clicked through, and a look at riverstoneemporium reinforced that, the bar for online content has dropped so much that finding something thoughtful and well constructed feels almost noteworthy now which says more about the average than about this site itself.

  4. A handful of memorable phrases from this one I will probably use later, and a look at rosecovegalleria added a couple more, content that contributes language to my own communication rather than just facts is content with a different kind of utility and this site is providing that linguistic utility consistently across what I read.

  5. Just want to flag that this was useful and not bury the appreciation in caveats, and a look at elmwillowemporium earned the same direct praise, recognising good work without hedging it with criticism is something I try to practice because over qualified compliments tend to read as backhanded and miss the point sometimes.

  6. Liked the balance between depth and brevity, never too shallow and never too long, and a stop at foreststonecourtyard kept the same balance going across the rest of the site, this is one of the harder skills in writing and the team here clearly has it figured out very well indeed across every page.

  7. Reading this slowly because the writing rewards a slower pace, and a stop at budgetbreeze did the same, the pace at which I read content is something I now use as a quality signal and writing that earns a slower pace earns my attention as a reader looking for substance these days.

  8. Picked this for a morning recommendation in our company chat, and a look at skyharborvault suggested I will mention this site again later, recommending content into a workplace context is a small editorial act that requires confidence in the recommendation and this site is making me confident in those recommendations consistently here too.

  9. Most posts I read end up forgotten within a day but this one is sticking, and a look at rubyorchardcollective extended that lingering effect, content that survives the immediate moment of reading rather than evaporating is content with genuine retention quality and this site has been producing memorable pieces at a rate notable across my reading.

  10. Decided to read this site for a while before forming a verdict, and the verdict after several pages is positive, and a stop at lemonlarkoutlet continued that pattern, judging a site requires more than one post and giving sites a fair sample is something I try to do for promising candidates rather than rushing to dismiss.

  11. Really like that there are no exclamation marks or all caps shouting throughout the post, and a quick visit to lavendercovecommerceatelier maintained the same calm voice, restraint in punctuation signals confidence in the content and this site clearly trusts its substance to do the persuading rather than relying on typographic emphasis.

  12. Felt the post had been written without using a single buzzword, and a look at mooncovevault continued that clean vocabulary, content free of jargon and trendy phrases reads better and ages better and this site has clearly committed to a vocabulary that will not feel dated in three years which is impressive editorially.

  13. revery_dtSn

Been playing at Revery Play for about a couple of months and figured I’d drop my thoughts here. I registered on a whim — minimum deposit was just ten quid which wasn’t bad, threw in ?30 to test it and got a 100% welcome bonus up to ?500 plus 200 free spins. Wagering is 35x and could be better honestly but not terrible either.

Game-wise is genuinely solid — they’ve got roughly 2500 games from devs like Pragmatic Play, Microgaming and Betsoft. Been grinding Sweet Bonanza mainly — had a solid session on Gates last week actually. Live casino section is all Evolution — Crazy Time is always packed, streams are smooth.

What that sold me on Revery Play is how quick withdrawals are. Paying with Neteller and the payout came through within less than a day. There’s also Bitcoin and various e-wallets which is handy. I’d check out what’s available over at revery play if you’re interested.

That said, there are a couple of gripes. Their support at Revery Play isn’t the fastest — I waited like 15 minutes for live chat one evening. And the mobile version works fine but navigation could be smoother compared to bigger brands. No standalone app, it’s browser-only on mobile.

Still, I’m still playing there so that says something. Revery Play is properly licensed and feels trustworthy enough. Being UK-based this is a reasonable pick — I’d just be patient with live chat wait times.

  14. Honestly the simplicity is what makes this work, the topic is not buried under filler words or overly complex examples, and a quick look at jewelcoveartisanmarket showed the same sensible style, I left with what I came for and no headache from over reading which is a real win these days.

  15. Now planning to come back when I have the right kind of attention to read carefully, and a stop at actionengine reinforced that plan, choosing the right moment to read certain content is a quiet form of respect for the work and this site is generating those careful planning behaviours from me consistently as a reader.

  16. Liked that the post acknowledged complications rather than pretending they did not exist, and a stop at violetharborcollectivemart continued that honest framing, sites that handle complexity with care rather than papering it over with simplifying claims are doing real intellectual work and this one is clearly in that category based on what I have read.

  17. Found the post genuinely useful for something I was working on this week, and a look at kettleridgeartisanmart added more material I will reference, content that connects to my actual life and work rather than just being interesting in the abstract is the kind I will pay attention to and return to repeatedly.

  18. Worth a quiet moment of recognition for the consistency I have noticed across multiple posts, and a stop at alpinecoveartisanbazaar continued that consistent quality, sites that maintain quality across many pieces rather than peaking on one viral post are sites with real editorial discipline and this one has clearly developed that discipline carefully.

  19. crazy_klMi

Ci trovi titoli di Pragmatic Play come Sweet Bonanza e Gates of Olympus, e anche diverse slot di NetEnt e roba Play’n GO tipo Book of Dead.

  20. Came in confused about the topic and left with a much firmer grasp on it, and after trailharborcollective I felt I could explain this to someone else without hesitation, that is the gold standard for any educational content and most sites simply fail to reach it ever which is unfortunate but true.

  21. lottoland_yqen

Taa on yks niista jutuista minka huomaa heti — hitaat maksut on dealbreaker.

Peleista pakko mainita et sita riittaa. Lottoland tarjoo isoilta tuottajilta niinku Pragmatic Play ja Microgaming, joten tutut nimikkeet on paikalla. Ma pelasin Book of Deadia paaasiassa ja muutama kiva voitto iski. Slotteja on reilusti yli tuhat ja sit on klassikot myos. Pieni miinus — pelien etsinta vois olla parempi, loytaa kylla mut vaatii klikkailua.

Livepeleista loytyy ihan kunnon livepoytia ja pelattiin Lightning Roulettea viikonloppuna. Striimi pelaa ilman patkimista puhelimella, mika on iso plussa. Kannattaa lukee ehdot kuitenkin ennen ku ottaa bonuksen.

Nostot Lottolandilta meni mulle suht nopeesti.

Lisenssit nakyy sivuilla eli silta osin ok. Toinen pieni miinus on navigointi vois olla selkeempi, mut englannilla parjaa. Kyl ma jatkan pelaamista siella viela jonku aikaa.

  22. Liked the careful selection of which details to include and which to skip, and a stop at amberharborvault reflected the same editorial judgement, knowing what to leave out is just as important as knowing what to include and this site has clearly figured out where that line sits for the topics it covers regularly.

  23. Will recommend this to a couple of friends who have been asking about this exact topic, and after alpinecovegalleria I have even more reason to do so, the kind of site that earns word of mouth rather than chasing it through aggressive marketing or paid placements is always a treat to find online.

  24. Reading this with a notebook open turned out to be the right move, and a stop at bayharborcollective added more material to the notes, content that justifies active note taking from a passive reader is content with real informational density and this site is producing notes worthy material at a high rate consistently.

  25. Really like the way the post resists reaching for cliches that would have made it feel generic, and a quick visit to woodmeadowoutlet kept that fresh feel going, original phrasing and unexpected metaphors are signs that the writer is actually thinking rather than just stitching together familiar phrases into the appearance of content.

  26. Now recognising that the post handled the topic with appropriate technical precision without becoming dry, and a stop at juniperharbortraders continued that balance, technical precision and readability are often in tension and this site has clearly figured out how to maintain both at once which is one of the harder editorial achievements in the form.

  27. Came away with some new perspectives I had not considered before, and after paprikaplace those ideas felt more complete, the kind of content that stays with you a little while after reading rather than slipping out the moment you switch tabs and move on with your day to whatever comes next.

  28. rolletto_kzPl

I’ve been playing at Rolletto for like a couple of months and figured I’d share how it’s been going. Found it after googling around for somewhere new after I got fed up with my usual spots. Signed up took maybe under five minutes, pretty standard stuff, then I put in ?20 to start — min deposit is ?20 not unreasonable.

Their sign-up offer looked alright — I got a match of 100% up to five hundred euros and 200 spins thrown in. Wagering’s at x35 and that could be worse honestly I’ve seen. They gave the spins for Big Bass Bonanza from what I recall. Tbh, spins were a bit dead but the matched funds kept me going.

Games on Rolletto is genuinely bigger than I expected. There’s titles by Pragmatic Play, Betsoft, and Evolution handles the live stuff. My go-to slots have been Gates of Olympus and a few Megaways games from Extra Chilli. Looks like there’s over 3000 games in total. Live dealers are solid too — the usual tables, and I keep going back to Crazy Time which is way too addictive. Real croupiers streaming, picture quality is crisp even on mobile.

Cashing out is what I really wanted to test and actually no complaints. I’ve used my Visa and it took about 24 hours. They also do Bitcoin and other options which is handy. You can check out their bonus page over at Rolletto to see for yourself. My one annoyance — verification took like four days to process and was frustrating.

On my phone, Rolletto runs fine in Safari — no app needed and honestly the browser version is fine. Pages load responsive and had a few goes on my commute and it ran smooth. Support is available round the clock via chat and response time was under a minute when I had a bonus question. They’re Curacao licensed — not UKGC which make of that what you will.

Honestly, it’s not perfect — that slow verification and the site design is a bit cluttered in places. But the games are class, withdrawals have landed every time, and the bonus gave me plenty of play time. Your mileage may vary but I’ll be sticking with Rolletto for now.

  29. Now organising my browser bookmarks to give this site easier access, and a look at sageharborvault earned the same organisational priority, the small acts of digital housekeeping I do for sites I expect to use often are themselves a measure of trust and this site has triggered the trust based housekeeping behaviour from me clearly.

  30. Liked that the post acknowledged complications rather than pretending they did not exist, and a stop at mintstonecollective continued that honest framing, sites that handle complexity with care rather than papering it over with simplifying claims are doing real intellectual work and this one is clearly in that category based on what I have read.

  31. Closed the tab feeling I had spent the time well, and a stop at lemonlarkmarketstudio extended that feeling across more pages, the test of whether time on a site was well spent is one I apply silently after closing tabs and very few sites pass it but this one passed it cleanly today afternoon clearly.

  32. If I am being honest this is the kind of site I quietly hope my own work will someday resemble, and a stop at pearlcovevault extended that aspirational feeling, finding work that models what I want to produce is part of why I read carefully and this site has been performing that modelling function for me lately consistently.

  33. A piece that did exactly what it promised in the headline without overshooting or underdelivering, and a look at tealcoveartisanmart continued that calibration, alignment between promise and delivery is a basic editorial virtue that many sites fail at and this site has clearly mastered the matching of expectation and substance throughout pieces.

  34. Better signal to noise ratio than most places I check on this kind of topic, and a look at motionframework kept that going, every paragraph here carries something worth reading rather than padding out the page to hit some arbitrary length target that search engines reward but readers ignore as soon as they notice it.

  35. Well done, the kind of post that makes you slow down and actually read instead of skimming for keywords, and a look at daisycoveartisanbazaar kept me reading carefully too, that is a sign of writing that has been crafted rather than churned out for an algorithm to see today and tomorrow.

  36. Comfortable read, finished it without realising how much time had passed, and a look at acorntrailartisanoutlet pulled me into more pages the same way, the absence of friction in good content lets time disappear and that is one of the highest compliments I can pay any piece of writing I find online during a regular search session.

  37. Glad I gave this a chance instead of bouncing on the headline, and after lavenderbrookartisanhouse I was certain I had made the right call, snap judgements based on titles miss a lot of good content and this is a reminder to slow down and check things out before scrolling past in a hurry.

  38. rever_tvSt

  39. A particular pleasure to read this with a fresh coffee, and a look at lanternstoneemporium extended the pleasure across more pages, content that pairs well with quiet morning rituals is something I have come to value highly and this site has the kind of energy that fits naturally into a calm reading routine.

  40. I came here looking for a quick answer and ended up reading the whole post because it was actually interesting, and after autumncoveoutlet I had a much fuller picture, no stress and no confusion just a clear walk through the topic that made everything fall into place without much effort.

  41. Skipped to a specific section because I knew that was the question I had, and the answer was clean, and a stop at zencoveemporium similarly delivered targeted answers without burying them, content engineered for readers who arrive with specific needs rather than open ended browsing is increasingly valuable in a search heavy reading environment.

  42. Felt like the writer was speaking directly to someone with my level of curiosity, neither talking down nor showing off, and a stop at canyonmeadowoutlet kept that comfortable matching going, finding writing that meets you where you are rather than asking you to climb up or stoop down feels great every time it happens.

  43. During my morning reading slot this fit perfectly into the routine, and a look at oliveharbortraders extended that perfect fit into the rest of the routine, content that matches the rhythm of how I actually read rather than demanding accommodation from my schedule is content well calibrated to its likely audience and this site has it.

  44. Once you start reading carefully here it is hard to go back to lower quality alternatives, and a stop at oakoriginshop reinforced that ratchet effect, the way good content raises standards is real over time and this site has clearly contributed to raising my expectations for what is possible in writing on the topic generally.

  45. Glad I gave this a chance instead of bouncing on the headline, and after crystalcovegalleria I was certain I had made the right call, snap judgements based on titles miss a lot of good content and this is a reminder to slow down and check things out before scrolling past in a hurry.

  46. Glad to have another reliable bookmark for this topic, and a look at pearlcovegoodsatelier suggested several more pages I will be marking too, building a personal library of trustworthy resources is one of the actual rewards of careful browsing and this site is earning a place on my permanent shortlist for the topic.

  47. Solid little post, the kind that does not need to be flashy because the substance is doing the work, and a look at maplecrestmarket kept that quiet confidence going across the site, this is what writing looks like when the writer trusts the content to land on its own without theatrics or unnecessary attention seeking behaviour.

  48. Recommended without reservation for anyone interested in the topic at any level of expertise, and a look at nolarostore only strengthens that recommendation, this site clearly knows how to serve readers across a range of backgrounds without watering down the content or talking past anyone in the audience which is genuinely impressive to see.

  49. Bookmark added with a small mental note that this is a site to keep, and a look at meadowdockartisanbazaar reinforced the keep status, the verb keep rather than visit captures something about how I think about this kind of site and it is a higher tier of relationship than I have with most places online today.

  50. Better than most of the writing I have come across on this topic recently, simpler and more direct, and a look at ivoryridgegoodsstore continued in that same way, a real outlier in a crowded space full of repetitive content that says little while taking up a lot of reader time today which is unfortunate.
