Anambra State: Senator Ifeanyi Uba reinforces security infrastructure

The Yuletide celebration in Anambra was one of the most peaceful events in recent times, especially since insurgency came to the southeast and Anambra State in particular. Except for the arson attack on the Palace of the traditional ruler of Isekke community and the killing of two policemen at Aguata (the Governor’s LGA), Anambra witnessed relative peace this yuletide, along with the mass return that was witnessed all over Anambra State.

This development came as a result of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s outstanding efforts (despite being a legislator) in driving a security architecture that was able to instil confidence in the people of Anambra State. This security architecture played a pivotal role in barring criminals and criminal elements from operating, especially in areas that have been seen by security experts as red zones in the past.

Ndi Anambra, during this yuletide period, carried on with their activities unhindered, knowing that criminals and criminal elements would not evade the law, as they now know that there is tight security everywhere especially in Nnewi town and environs, courtesy of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, who has invested in seeing to it that Ndi Anambra felt secure enough to visit their homeland.

Today, most communities in Anambra State have also towed this line by asking the Senator to replicate same in their communities, to ensure that the security of lives and properties remains paramount and sacrosanct, as it should be.

Truth be told, Senator Ubah has done a noble thing by making sure that the security of Ndi Anambra remains paramount because without security of lives and properties, no meaningful development can come to the state. As such, this has improved the confidence level of Ndi Anambra as evidenced in the massive return witnessed this yuletide.

While Senator Ubah is still working round the clock by reaching out to his contacts within the presidency and security agencies to find lasting solutions towards the liberation of towns like Osumorghu, Lilu, and the other towns in Anambra South Senatorial District still under the control of the bandits, he has also since reached out to Igwe Emmanuel Nnabuife whose palace in Isseke was burnt down to reassure him about his ongoing efforts to liberate Isekke town and environs.

This comes amidst reports that the unknown gunmen’s activities in the town have gotten so brazen that they now operate checkpoints and give receipts with the inscription Biafran Liberation Movement (BLM) to helpless residents who are coerced into making payments before carrying out any social event like burials.

Indeed, when the selfless is in authority, the people rejoice.
