Air Peace Under Fire: Passenger Alleges Bag Vandalism in Shocking Airport Incident
In a disturbing claim that has ignited concern on social media, Onwa Nwafor Orizu has accused staff of Nigerian airline Air Peace of damaging his luggage during a recent flight.
According to Orizu, the key to his checked-in bag was “vandalised”, leaving him bewildered and worried about the integrity of his belongings.
Orizu took to Facebook to share his frustration: “The staff of Airpeace are turning into something else. The key to my checked in bag was vandalized. I’m still wondering.”
The incident has sparked heated reactions online, with many users sharing similar experiences and calling for increased accountability in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
Security breaches involving luggage handling have been a growing concern for domestic travellers, especially on popular local carriers like Air Peace, which boasts the largest fleet in Nigeria. With the aviation industry under pressure to regain consumer trust, this allegation underscores the need for stricter baggage handling protocols and better customer service.
As of the time of publication, Air Peace has not issued an official statement addressing the allegation.
Passengers are reminded to secure their luggage with TSA-approved locks and to photograph their bags before check-in, as a precaution.
