2026 Speech: Tinubu’s New Year message
President Bola Tinubu says 2026 marks the beginning of a more robust phase of economic growth.
The President stated this on Thursday in his New Year’s message to Nigerians,
Fellow Compatriots,
I welcome you all to 2026, with gratitude to God and confidence in our collective resolve that this new year will be a more prosperous one for our nation, our citizens, and all who call Nigeria home.
During 2025, we sustained the momentum on our major reforms. We had a fiscal reset and also recorded steady economic progress.
Despite persistent global economic headwinds, we recorded tangible and measurable gains, particularly in the economy.
These achievements reaffirm our belief that the difficult but necessary reforms we embarked upon are moving us in the right direction with more concrete results on the horizon for the ordinary Nigerian.
As we enter 2026, our focus is on consolidating these gains and continuing to build a resilient, sustainable, inclusive, and growth-oriented economy.
We closed 2025 on a strong note. Despite the policies to fight inflation, Nigeria recorded a robust GDP growth each quarter, with annualised growth expected to exceed 4 per cent for the year.
We maintained trade surpluses and achieved greater exchange rate stability. Inflation declined steadily and reached below 15 per cent, in line with our target.
In 2026, we are determined to reduce inflation further and ensure that the benefits of reform reach every Nigerian household.
In 2025, the Nigerian Stock Exchange outperformed its peers, posting a robust 48.12 per cent gain and consolidating its bullish run that began in the second half of 2023.
Supported by sound monetary policy management, our foreign reserves stood at $45.4 billion as of December 29, 2025, providing a substantial buffer against external shocks for the Naira. We expect this position to strengthen further in the new year.
Foreign direct investment is also responding positively. In the third quarter of 2025, FDI rose to $720 million, up from $90 million in the preceding quarter, reflecting renewed investor confidence in Nigeria’s economic direction, which global credit rating agencies, including Moody’s, Fitch, and Standard & Poor’s, have consistently affirmed and applauded.
A few days ago, I presented the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly.
In that address, I emphasised that our administration has implemented critical reforms that are laying a solid foundation for long-term stability and prosperity.
With patience, fiscal discipline, and unity of purpose, Nigeria will emerge in 2026 stronger and better positioned for sustained growth.
As inflation and interest rates moderate, we expect increased fiscal space for productive investment in infrastructure and human capital development.
We are also confronting the challenge of multiple taxation across all tiers of government. I commend states that have aligned with the national tax harmonisation agenda by adopting harmonised tax laws to reduce the excessive burden of taxes, levies, and fees on our people and on basic consumption.
The new year marks a critical phase in implementing our tax reforms, designed to build a fair, competitive, and robust fiscal foundation for Nigeria.
By harmonising our tax system, we aim to raise revenue sustainably, address fiscal distortions and strengthen our capacity to finance infrastructure and social investments that will deliver shared prosperity.
My fellow Nigerians, the path of reform is never easy, but it is necessary. We remain mindful that economic progress must be accompanied by security and peace.
Our nation continues to confront security threats from criminal and terrorist elements determined to disrupt our way of life.
In collaboration with international partners, including the United States, decisive actions were taken against terrorist targets in parts of the Northwest on December 24.
Our Armed Forces have since sustained operations against terror networks and criminal strongholds across the Northwest and Northeast.
In 2026, our security and intelligence agencies will deepen cooperation with regional and global partners to eliminate all threats to national security.
We remain committed to protecting lives, property, and the territorial integrity of our country.
I continue to believe that a decentralised policing system with appropriate safeguards, complemented by properly regulated forest guards, all anchored on accountability, is critical to effectively addressing terrorism, banditry, and related security challenges.
The new year marks the beginning of a more robust phase of economic growth, with tangible improvements in the lives of our people.
We will accelerate the implementation of the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme, aiming to bring at least 10 million Nigerians into productive economic activity by empowering at least 1,000 people in each of the 8,809 wards across the country.
Through agriculture, trade, food processing, and mining, we will stimulate local economies and expand grassroots opportunities.
We will also continue to invest in modernising Nigeria’s infrastructure – roads, power, ports, railways, airports, pipelines, healthcare, education, and agriculture to strengthen food security and improve quality of life.
All ongoing projects will continue without interruption.
To achieve our objectives in 2026, we must all play our part.
Nation-building is a shared responsibility. We must stand together in unity and purpose, uphold patriotism, and serve our country with honour and integrity in our respective roles.
Let us resolve to be better citizens, better neighbours, and better stewards of our nation.
Fellow Nigerians, I wish you all a peaceful, productive, and prosperous New Year.
May God continue to bless and protect our beloved country, keep our troops safe and destroy the enemies bent on disrupting our national peace, security and stability.
Happy New Year to you all.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,
Federal Republic of Nigeria

Happy New Year 2026 from us
Now considering the post as evidence that careful blog writing is still possible, and a look at brighttrailartisanbazaar extended that evidence, the broader question of whether the modern web can sustain quality writing has obvious empirical answers in sites like this one and seeing them is reassuring even when they remain a minority overall today.
Genuinely changed how I think about a small piece of the topic, which does not happen often online, and a look at nightnarrative added another nudge in the same direction, the kind of writing that earns a small mental shift rather than just confirming what you already thought before reading is a sign of careful thought.
The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is just addictive. I had a great time winning some decent amounts yesterday. Love q444game so much.
Just wanted to say this was useful and leave a small note of thanks, and a quick visit to warehousewave earned a similar nod from me, the small acknowledgements add up over time and represent the real economy of trust that good content runs on across the open and increasingly fragmented modern internet.
Decided to write a short note to the author if there is contact info anywhere, and a stop at oceanoutfitters extended that intention, the urge to thank the writer directly is a strong signal of content quality and this site has triggered that urge in me today which is a fairly rare event for my reading.

A quiet piece that did not try to compete on volume, and a look at canyonstonegalleria maintained that selective approach, sites that publish less but better are increasingly rare in an environment that rewards volume and this one has clearly chosen quality cadence over quantity which is a brave editorial decision in current conditions.
Closed the laptop and walked away thinking about the post for a good twenty minutes, and a stop at walnutcovevault produced similar lingering thoughts, content that survives the closing of the browser tab is content that has actually entered the mind rather than just decorating the screen for the duration of the reading.

Now recognising the post as a rare example of careful writing on a topic that mostly receives careless treatment, and a stop at skybrookmarketfoundry extended that contrast with the average elsewhere, content that highlights how much the average is settling for low quality is content that has both internal merit and external value as a benchmark.
A particular kind of restraint shows up in the writing, and a look at berrystoneoutpost maintained the same restraint across pages, knowing what not to say is just as important as knowing what to say and this site has clearly developed strong instincts on both sides of that editorial line throughout pieces I have read.
Bookmarked the page and the homepage too because clearly there is more to explore here, and a quick stop at silvercovevault only made that more obvious, this is the kind of place I want to dig through over a weekend rather than rushing through during a coffee break tomorrow morning before getting back to work.

Started reading skeptically because the headline seemed overconfident, and the post earned the headline by the end, and a look at echobrookvault continued that pattern of earning its claims, sites that can back up their headlines without overpromising are rare and this one has clearly developed editorial calibration on that front consistently.

Really liked the calm tone running through the post, no shouting and no urgency forced into the writing, and a look at lemoncovecommerceatelier kept that quiet confidence going, the kind of voice that makes the reader feel respected rather than yelled at which is depressingly common across most modern blog content these days.
Quietly enjoying that I have found a new site to follow for the topic, and a look at dunestonegalleria reinforced the small pleasure of the find, the discovery of new high quality sources is one of the more durable pleasures of careful internet reading and this site has been generating that discovery pleasure at multiple points already today.
Reading this between meetings turned out to be the most useful thing I did all afternoon, and a stop at cottonmeadowoutpost kept that productivity feeling going, content can sometimes outperform actual work in terms of what gets accomplished mentally and this site managed that today which is genuinely a high bar to clear consistently.
Finding the right attorney is rarely straightforward — especially at a moment when you’re facing a lawsuit, a DUI arrest or a family dispute. That is precisely why the free US lawyer directory Law Firms In is organized around a single principle: start from the legal issue, and then select a state and a city. Every practice area page lists the lawyers who work in that field, and the listings of Law-Firms-In.com cover business law, bankruptcy, employment and immigration.
The scale of the Law Firms In directory is impressive: 14,000+ profiles of attorneys in 22 US states, more than 2,000 US cities with local lawyer listings and nearly 2,400 city-and-practice pages. From Orlando and San Antonio to Louisville and Birmingham, [url=http://www.doubledivision.org/GO.ASP?https://law-firms-in.com/location/lafayette/maritime-law/kanye-west%5Dlaw-firms-in.com%5B/url%5D helps you find legal help nearby without endless searching.
What really sets law-firms-in.com apart remains its transparency. Listings are built from open law firm and bar data, rather than from sponsored listings — no one pays for a top spot. Each profile is tied to a real city and a practice area, so each search brings up lawyers who genuinely work in that field of law nearby. No less important, a local practice page on Law-Firms-In.com goes live only when five or more attorneys match the combination, while the directory index is updated nightly — meaning counts, city pages and practice listings always follow the actual directory instead of a stale snapshot.
For people in need of an attorney, law-firms-in.com operates in three simple steps: find by practice area and city, look through the attorney profiles for that city, and then contact the firm directly. The service charges nothing and needs no registration. For attorneys, the process is equally transparent: add your listing with city and practice areas, appear on the city + practice pages where you really practice, and then get contacted straight from your profile on LawFirmsIn — without any reselling of leads along the way.
Beyond lawyer profiles, law-firms-in.com additionally runs daily legal news and answers to common legal questions: federal and state court rulings, policy changes and other state-by-state updates keep readers up to date before they ever need an attorney. In the end, the Law Firms In legal directory remains exactly the kind of directory people rely on whenever a legal question arises — at no cost, honest and focused on your own city.
Thank you for the genuine effort here, it shows in every paragraph and not just the headline, and after my visit to junipercovevault I was sure this site cares about getting things right rather than chasing clicks, which is the main reason I will come back later this week to read more.

Reading this prompted me to subscribe to my first newsletter in months, and a stop at baycovecommerceatelier confirmed the subscribe was the right call, content that earns a newsletter signup is content that has cleared a higher trust bar than a casual visit and this site has clearly earned that level of commitment from me.
Closed it feeling I had taken something away rather than just consumed something, and a stop at mintorchardtrading extended that taking away feeling, the difference between content I extract value from and content I just pass through is something I track informally and this site is consistently in the value extraction column for me.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sensible take on this topic without the usual marketing nonsense, and a look at orchardharbortrading kept that grounded approach going, sites that stay focused on serving readers rather than monetising every click are rare and this is clearly one of those rare ones I really appreciate finding.

Quality you can feel from the first paragraph, the writer clearly knows the topic and how to share it, and a quick look at mintbrookvendorfoundry confirmed the same depth runs throughout the rest of the site as well which is rare and worth pointing out when it happens online for any reader passing through.
A piece that handled the topic with appropriate weight without becoming portentous, and a look at lemonstoneoutpost continued that calibrated seriousness, content that takes itself seriously without becoming pompous is something this site has clearly figured out and the balance shows up in every piece I have read across multiple sessions now.
Best casino experience I’ve had in a while. The variety of games is insane and the customer support is very responsive. Definitely visit kr500casino for a great time.
