Senator Jimoh Ibrahim distributes bags of rice to constituents

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim (Ondo South) has distributed bags of rice to residents of his constituency.

The bags of rice were part of palliatives provided by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration to cushion the effects of the economic downturn during the Yuletide.

The lawmaker Ibrahim announced last December that the palliatives were yet to be procured and supplied by the contractors in charge.

He explained the bags of rice had just been delivered and decided to distribute them as carefully apportioned by a committee

The bags of rice were shared among different strata and organisations in the district at University of Fortune, Igbotako.

Among beneficiaries of the palliatives are traditional rulers, religious leaders, transport unions, including the National Union of Road Transport Workers(NURTW), Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria(RTEAN) and others.

At the distribution centres were Muslim leader Alhaji Yusuf Lateef Olajide; Christian leader Pastor Gbelela; local government executives of All Progressives Congress(APC) and representatives from all the 66 wards across Ondo South Senatorial District.
