Peter Obi officially dumps LP for ADC
Peter Obi, former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has officially defected to the coalition-backed African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The ex-Anambra governor announced the decision on Tuesday at an event held at the Nike Lake Resort, Enugu.
“We are ending this year with the hope that in 2026 we will begin a rescue journey,” Obi said.
“We will resist rigging of election by every lawful means in 2027.
“We still have a one-year window for everyone to go and verify the schools they attended.
“We do not want to return to court again only to be told it is a pre-election matter.
“The pre-election process should start now.”
David Mark, national chairman of the ADC, was among the attendees.
Also present were Aminu Tambuwal, former Sokoto state governor; Emeka Ihedioha, former deputy speaker of the house of representatives; Ben Obi, senator; Victor Umeh, senator; Tony Nwoye, senator; Gilbert Nnaji, senator; Enyinnya Abaribe, senator; Sam Egwu, senator; Onyema Ugochukwu, alongside other lawmakers and dignitaries.
Obi resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on May 25, 2022, saying “recent developments in the party do not support constructive contributions”.
He joined the LP on May 27, 2022, and contested the 2023 presidential election on the party’s platform — finishing third.

I have been browsing online greater than three hours as of late, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth sufficient for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you probably did, the internet will be much more helpful than ever before. “It’s all right to have butterflies in your stomach.
