The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has denied claims that $2,000 was shared with some Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) as an attendance fee during its Maiduguri engagement.

The association said it neither received nor authorised any such payment, adding that there is no voucher, beneficiary list, or budget record to support the allegation.

NBA President Afam Osigwe (SAN) insisted that no funds were diverted and that a review of accounts showed no trace of the alleged payment.

The NBA urged critics to seek verification through lawful channels, including the Freedom of Information Act, noting that no evidence has been produced so far.
